Aquatic Resort

iso view diagram_edited.png

This project involves the creation of a submerged resort situated in Fiji, featuring uniquely shaped pods inspired by marine life. These pods serve a dual purpose: not only are they constructed for human use, but they also function as vessels for fostering oceanic life, particularly coral reefs. The pods boast a smooth exterior surface that facilitates the growth of coral colonies, akin to the way coral structures expand over time.

The intentional design of a metal framework connecting the pods ensures the stability of the resort, with this structure serving as the only visible element above the water’s surface. Looking ahead, the visionary expansion plans incorporate a web-like metal structure, allowing the resort to adapt and grow in harmony with the natural environment, much like the coral formations it seeks to emulate.

The resort comprises five distinct units designated for guests, and access to these pods is facilitated through a submerged tube equipped with elevators.

This innovative submerged resort in Fiji not only offers a unique and luxurious experience for human guests but also contributes to the preservation and enhancement of marine life. The pods, inspired by the organic shapes of marine organisms, serve as both human habitats and ecological vessels, fostering the growth of coral reefs with their smooth exteriors.
