Marketplace
A marketplace designed to accommodate the Green City market. It is located in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Marketplace creates this environment from city life. A place that people can enjoy on the weekends. It is a marketplace with a landscape. Tall trees of Lincoln Park surround the Marketplace. The goal is to create a space for customers and the salesmen in a natural environment.
The program of the area is designed to have mixed-use purposes. While the customer is buying the goods, at the same time they can enjoy the environment surrounding them. One of the most important things is to create a musical setting. During our visit to the site, one of the significant thing we analyzed was that street musicians were playing music. At that moment I knew that I would be including music into my design. Marketplace serves 100 space vendors, located on the steps of the landscape. It serves seating areas for the occupants, which is the landscape itself. Closed area for storage is located on the bottom layer of the landscape. As well as restrooms are located on the floor beneath.
